The design is modern, minimalist, simple, state of the art, and discreetly luxurious, with warm modern interiors clashing beautifully with the 100+-year-old retained architectural features. The 100-year-old open-cage lift was renovated as new, and enormous original wooden gates were retained. Rooms are spacious by any standard, with solid wood parquet, Cappellini bed, Artemide lamp, Kartell stools, state-of-the-art lighting, new AC, double-glazed windows, organic toiletries. Super fast free internet everywhere, two LCD TVs. Breakfast was tasty with homemade cakes, fresh fruits, croissants, juices, cornflakes.”
